Keep Light Litter From Clogging Screen

One of the problems in sweeping parking areas with lots of light litter is that they swirl up in the hopper and clog the screen. Even with the chains hanging down it can still be a problem as the hopper fills.
The idea I hit upon involves those bread trays which the wholesalers use to deliver bread. I bought a couple from one of the local bread distributors, and put them down on top of my load. They do a good job of holding the papers down as I sweep. Every once in a while I go back and, through the inspection doors on each side of my Supervac hopper, lift the trays up to the top of the litter pile.
This works great to keep from having to clean my screen too often, and keeps my sweeping power where it should be.
